Jason Asher has been tending bar for 13 years and was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. After he finished college here he found himself in love with the restaurant and hospitality industry. This passion for pleasing and servicing people lead him to San Francisco where he attended culinary school at the California Culinary Academy. It was the dream of blending the culinary arts and bartending that pushed him into the world of mixology. His first exposure to the world of mixology was at the world renowned Sanctuary Resort on Camelback Mountain. It was there, that a man by the name of Ryan Magarian gave him the tools to begin my journey from bartender to mixologist. Over the last 3 years he has been mentioned in almost every major culinary publication. Jason was also featured in other publications such as Esquire and GQ. GQ named him the nations most inspired bartender of 2010 and featured his good self on the cover of the man of the year issue this last December. Several months ago his business partner and himself started a consulting company AZ mixology. Their goal is to bring the cocktail community in Arizona together through everyone’s mixology perspective.
